Significant others willfully breaking glassware, I think, is the real issue that needs addressing here.

I've become a huge fan of the Spieglau IPA glass for most every style. Makes for an extremely flavorful first few minutes, and then quicker oxidation, which I enjoy for pretty much any style besides IPAs. Give it a try!

I've been using my spigelau IPA glass for everything. Feels right.

The shop I go to had some of these in. First time I ever felt one and it feels like it would shatter in my hand. I'm sure it's fine, but it just feels incredibly cheap and breakable.

That's the biggest complaint about these glasses and why I haven't pulled the trigger on buying any yet. I always get close to getting this glass, and their similar 'stout' glass but just haven't done it.

I use my over sized Duvel glass for almost every beer.

Can't stand that "dildo", super-thin glass.

I find myself using my HF wine type glass for everything. If it is a beer to keep cold I hold the stem, if it is a beefy stout ill hold the glass.

I tend to use my Dogfish Head Signature Glass for most things. Very nice glass, comfortable in the hand, and a nice sturdy feel to it!

There's tons of diehard's saying "the thinner the better", just like wine, which of course has been around longer than the recent craft revival. Here's a recent article from the head of Brooklyn Brewery-
    https://www.yahoo.com/food/why-you-should-drink-beer-in-a-wine-glass-80582557083.html

I don't think my IPA glass is any thinner than my FW tulip. The IPA glass also has a solid ~8mm base, so it has much less chance of breaking from setting it down too aggressively. At $20/2, I don't think they are very pricey at all. Both of mine have been going strong for about 8 months, and I occasionally over-indulge Cheers!

I have tulip pints, snifters, tulips, red wine glasses and Jason jars. Seems to cover everything.
