Popped my flip-top of FH Simcoe, & nearly two days of storage finds it just-filled fresh! I have to admit I like it more than FH Cascade. It is likely the best beer I've had, this year!

Didn't stop me from getting two crowlers of FH Wanderlust, today!

Hey I just wanted to say how cool it is that I have found some fellow Breakside Brewery devotees. You guys rock ! ... I thought I was the only one. I discovered Wanderlust earlier this year and just love it to death! I try to tell other Seattle beer drinking musicians about this fabulous beer and they act like I don't know what I'm talking about. (The best way I can describe it to them is to compare it to Georgetown's "Lucille", With a little less of a hop bite) Anyway, thank you to the OP , And thank you to Breakside for doing what you do ! I didn't mind shelling out an extra buck each bottle at Total wine for my Breakside fix this week... Just hope it's trickling down to the brewer.

Ok, 4 days in the growler & this FH Simcoe just may be my favorite beer...period. I really believe the freezing/shattering process plays a major role in delivering the fresh hop nuance w/o the vegetal effect.

I'm sold & so very thankful.

Last glass looks like what Vermonters crave in every pour...no complaints, as Growlers Hawthorne has half a keg left!

Huh. Definitely not the same beer filled @ Milwaukie on Wednesday...just seems like uber-fresh flagship. I want that unfiltered taproom beer back, but I'm really spoiled & have more fresh hop crowlers to address. That Weds. fill just shook me...like chewing fresh hops.

I had it at Toronado on Thursday, and it looks like the keg is still there.

If this thread is going to live on, can one of the Mods update the title? I think the "Issues" tagline is unfair to Breakside. Seems like we're talking more about what they're doing right than wrong. How about changing "issues" to "questions"?

By the way, I'm a huge fan of the India Golden Ale. Glad to see the bottles have outlived the spring seasonal window. Is this now a year-round beer?

Nope. The promo materials and sell sheets list it as being available April-June. I looked back through some of the "specialty package and draft emails" emails from their sales manager, and the last time I can find it listed as in stock was early July. If you're finding it now there's a good chance that it's at least 3 months old and getting older by the day.

I agree, as the OP. Ben answered my concerns, but I really enjoy using the thread to get news. I think we all learned quite a bit, innit.

Milwaukie has a few in the cooler, but can't vouch for their freshness. I do believe it's a gamble worth taking, regardless.

Ok! Got a growler of the new batch of FH Simcoe & tasted the El Dorado Saison (good, if not my style, but the hops helped) & the really great Vienna Coffee.

W/ two crowlers of FH Wanderlust in the fridge, & the growler draining...I'm on the sidelines. I've now bought a gallon of freshie Wanderlust & two gallons of Simcoe! I was chasing that 1st batch...damned if I didn't prefer it unfiltered. I'll make exceptions for fresh hops.

Ran in to Milwaukie & sniped some FH Mosaic, today! It's always a great experience @ the taproom & nice to see Ben pulling a few pints for the crowd!
    Kudos, ad infinitum, folks!

It's on for growler fills at Bobs Liquors as well.

Dry & delicious, this Mosaic is! A wheelhouse bitter, no doubt! Finishes fresh as a daisy!

Man, this is a really crappy time to be stuck in Utah for work, I need to stop reading this thread! Hope there's some FH stuff around by the time I get back, really want to try that mosaic.

If it's anything like the other two freshies (Simcoe flagship & Cascade Wanderlust), availability should stretch out for a few more weeks...hoppy hunting!

If you're missing Breakside while in Utah, the Beer Bar in SLC carries 3 or 4 Breakside labels. Prost!
