Brew/bar ads "The Great Lost Bear"

    I really love all the beer, brewery, and brew pub ads in the mag. I find them informal to the point of where I would like to learn more about a lot of them. While the wife and I were planning our trip to Maine, which we will be taking next week, my wife points out that "The Great Lost Bear" is in Portland, and is 10min from our hotel, AND "isn't that the place that we caught the info for in your BA magazine?" What?! Yes, she was right! I remember us looking it up months ago after seeing the ad, and it just might have been the driving factor that ultimately is taking us to the NE region instead of Cali. Can't wait to go to Allagash! Along with them, there are a bunch of brews that are out of my region that wouldn't have ever been on my radar if it wasn't for the magazine. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that has felt likethis/had a similar experience. Who else is out there.....

    Glad to hear it. And I'm sure @BenAdvocate is even happier. I wonder if anyone else has planned a road trip based on advertisers in the magazine? Anyway, let us know where your beer travels take you in the Northeast!

    I stopped by "The Great Lost Bear" the last time I passed through Portland. As I recall, it had good food and good beer.

    Its definitely on my "revisit", the next time I pass through.

    And yes, I first heard of them through BA Magazine.

    Haven't planned a road trip but have definitely remembered ads for places that were stops when traveling by car and places to visit in different cities based on the ads - they made me do a little research. Also, the ads were how I found out about the opening of some of the new Barcade locations around the NYC area.
