Ok since they over a year old. Who has actually tasted any of the beers they have brewed? They have brewwed at some popular breweries. Has anyone been in a episode? The beers look cool, but how do they taste?
I feel like I saw their Colorado beer bottled, but didn't buy it. Am I crazy? Do they bottle any of these crazy ass brews?
How would they bottle them? They seem to drink the tiny (1/2 barrel...if that) allotment at the end of each episode. I've had some of their other beers. The Punk IPA is very nice...my wife's favorite.
I can't recall if this is the beer from the show, but it's available in both bottles (from Brewdog) and cans (from OB): http://www.brewdog.com/product/shipwrecker-circus It's pretty solid, although those cans are expensive.
Maybe I am crazy, I saw it before the show aired. I knew it was a Brew Dog brew that had insane ingredients that I had not seen before or since.
This may have been what I saw, thanks! Also, this was not from the show as (of course) they made a pale ale with Oskar
I was in the Durham episode at Fullsteam. The RIS they made was solid. It was a pretty bitter base beer but it had to be because they loaded it up with a scoop of ice cream, drizzle of maple syrup and a stick of bacon. All in all I'd say it was a hit, I definitely wanted more.
They don't bottle any of the beers they do on the show. I wish they would recreate some on a larger level to distribute. I mean if people really like the beer at the brewery, why not make it so everyone can try. That being said, they did a golden stout in the Las Vegas Episode, then Stone Brewing had a "golden stout" on tap when I went there last night. Kind of ironic....I really do like most of brew dog's beers. Tactical Nuclear Penguin and Sink the Bismark are actually quite good for being that high of an ABV, and their Paradox series (barrel aged beers) are really good as well.
Victory had the "Declaration Nation" ale from the Philadelphia episode on tap. It was really pretty good.
