brew pot with thermometer and wort chiller

    Does the built-in thermometer on some boil pots interfere with the wort chiller?

    Depends, there are different length probes on brew thermometers. Doesn't have to.

    My probe protrudes 2" into the brew pot. I can still get the chiller in there, and I can move it around to mix up the wort. If the chiller doesn't fit into the pot, its copper and therefore soft. Bend it a little to make the required space.

    I've spread the coils a bit more at that spot and set the chiller on the probe. Most chillers aren't that wide.
