Anyone going to the Brew Skies Festival in WV? Or been in the past?
    http://brewskiesfestival.com/

I won tickets and camping passes and will be checking it out in a few weeks. Kind of wondering what to expect. Looking forward to trying some WV beers and will gladly take advice as to what to seek out and what to avoid.

If you've been in the past do you know how the camping works? Can one come and go as they wish? (Thinking of hiking blackwater falls area Saturday morning) How far will one need to carry their gear?

Likely will grab lunch in Davis on the way to the festival if anyone has any suggestions as to a good place?

Also thinking about checking out Mountain State Brewing (production facility) and Blackwater Brewing Co (? their website is no longer active so not sure what this means),Saturday after the hike (likely grabing lunch at one) and Lost River Brewing Co (Sunday on the way back to VA after hiking Seneca Rocks). All of them will be at the festival, but figure its always nice to visit the brewery. Any thoughts on these places will be appreciated as well.

I was around when this was just starting up several years ago but it was at a different venue then. I can't help with your questions on camping I'm afraid.

Be sure to seek out Big Timber. They are doing things right up there.
Never been a big fan of Mountain State at all.
Blackwater was in limbo last I was there, and had suspended brewing operations. Obviously they have started back up but I can't speak to their brews. They used to have some decent German food though.
I really never was able to figure out what was going on at Lost River. They were never open when I passed by, no matter what day or what time.
For lunch in Davis, Hellbender Burrito will fill you up and get rid of your hangover. A Gravity Check with blue cheese instead of ranch and you'll be off and running. Everybody swears by Siriani's pizza but I'd go for the burrito if I were you.
    Have fun in the Valley.

Thanks for your help. Heading out there this weekend so looking forward to exploring the valley.

Was planning on stopping at hellbender on the way out (the brewerys wont be open yet). Probably try and hit up the breweries mentioned as well as stumptown ales (in davis too). All of them will be at the festival so not a big deal if they are closed when we pass through.
