    It's funny because that's the perception it's given off for years (centuries?). Amazing that after all this time, all its changes and incarnations (razing and rebuilding), that it just - can't - lighten - up. :wink:

    I think I mentioned in the past that while in Berlin I was greeted by a "Guten Morgen." from the manager of our Pension, to which I (intentionally) replied, "Gruß Gott." Just to see the look on his face -- it was worth a little cross-culture cage rattling. :grinning:
