So they say not to age IPAs, is anyone else sad when you come along a really good IPA that is being brewed once?

    Of course.

But that's not exactly exclusive to IPAs.

delicious IPA's never make me sad. Tell me they're halting production of heady topper tomorrow and I'll still crush em as fast as humanly possible.

Cisco has made a couple of one-off IPAs in their Island Reserve series that really hit the mark for me.

I'm taking this one to a party tonight:

Hopefully my mate Keith (whose party it is) will believe me that's what it is. There's no label. They ran out of them. Paying punters got the luxury labelled edition.

I find myself disappointed when any beer I enjoyed is not going to be brewed again, lowering my chances of enjoying it again.

Not sure how you intended on the aging comment to tie in but regardless if a beer was brewed once or brewed everyday, I prefer to drink the beer near its prime. I have no interest in holding on to a beer which is a shadow of its former self just because I won't see it again.

I wonder if your buddy Keith would enjoy a growler of an even ‘older’ English IPA:http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1177/19041

Ron, if I ever homebrew the Northern Brewer kit for the 1800 English IPA, I will send you a bottle (or two).

    Cheers!

CCB does a lot of one release beers. They did a Papaya IPA once that was excellent, have not seen it since. Keep hoping they will re release it but it has not happened.

I email Stone all the time asking them to brew Dayman again, I fell in love with that beer.

Two words for you...Home...Brew....I've tried some amazingly delicious home-brewed IPA/DIPA's that I know I'll never try again because they were just random "fuck it" recipes

I wish Half Acre and Shorts would try to find the brown sound again.

I love guava ...and I loved Ween.

This was probably my favorite collab and dedication beer ever...

I'm not too worried. I just had a Dreadnaught this weekend that was bottled at the same time as the PF and I noticed no significant difference from the bottle of Dreadnaught I drank 2 months ago. Both Dreadnaughts were bottled at the same time.

I'm opening it this Friday at a beer tasting.
