Haven't been back home to visit in a few years. Any new breweries or tap rooms pop up? I've been to Sweetwater back when they were smaller. Coming from CO, I have high hopes of finding a southern gem.

You'll have better luck in the Southeast forum.

But, www.seekabrew.com will give you an idea of breweries you may find while visiting, if you find the right stores.

I only had one beer, but Five Seasons Westside was pretty decent. Their Iron Horse IPA was good and the food was good. They are right next door to HopCity too, so no way you can go wrong.

Since you've been to Sweetwater, then I would suggest Red Brick. They are getting a little more popular in the Southeast and have some really good seasonals out now. Of course, if you're willing to travel the hour or so to Athens, then I would suggest going to Terrapin (as long as you get there early enough to beat out the lines.) Cheers!
