It seems like usually around EBF, new breweries start distributing into the state. I'm guessing New Belgium will start fairly soon, but just wondering if anyone has heard of any others?

New Belgium is going to start full distro to my knowledge, a lot of the others you'll see are just small drops that breweries bring in since they'll be at EBF, I don't think it is usually a permanent thing

Half Acre is out there in both kegs and cans...but it's a temporary thing as usual.

I believe Funky Buddha will see some distribution just for the fest. I don't know if will see there really good porters and stouts though.

Hoppy cans from Common Roots, Due South and 2SP have been appearing at the usual spots over the past week or so. All temporary for EBF, I believe.

Full statewide distro in about two weeks (February 13th). They've also chosen Boston as one of their major festival stops this year

I saw Central Waters stuff a little earlier today at total wine. I don't believe they are going to be at the festival.

Inevitable that Deschutes will come to MA at some point. Heard rumors of Bells as well.

I know there were also rumors of Cigar City and Surly but, I'm guessing unlikely.

Deschutes would be nice. Fresh Squeezed is a good every day drinker.

Bought some fresh fresh half acre today. I always welcome this small bit of the LOL.

    Edit: ebf.

Agreed, until no one buys it and it sits old on the shelf like most everything else. That's when every day ends.

Bells was supposed to enter MA like 5 years ago, not going to hold my breath at this point...

Was told by a Clevelander that Great Lakes may start distro to MA in '17. I'd love it - Dortmunder Gold & Eddie Fitz Porter on the regular.

Cigar City is a possibility since sale to OB/Fireman - but frankly not thrilled with middling Jai Alai invading town.

I've had the chance to drink a lot of Surly due to several biz trips to the twin cities last year. OK beers (GREAT brewery & pub) but I always just drifted back to drinking Bells 2 Hearted for the most part during my visits FWIW.

I've been waiting for Great Lakes because of those beers that fill empty or underserved spots. Not just a new entrant brewing beers that dozens of locals already have covered.

That is the date that it starts to be released. Boston will host the Tour de Fat this year as well. Not all of their beer will be released right away. They aren't sending the seasonal selection to MA until the summer beers come out. I am just really excited for the sours to head out this way. They have a great sour program over there.
