I'm visiting Dallas for NYE and am wondering if there are any good beer events happening.

Also interested in some of the best breweries, bottle shops and beer + food places in both Dallas and Austin. I am only in both places for 3 days max so I would like to hit up the very best spots. (obvi JK will be on the list)

    Thanks!!!!

If you like NEIPA style, you definitely want to visit Turning Point Beer in Bedford. The brewery is just west of DFW airport. They usually have 14 or so on tap, 4 packs of cans to go and often a good food truck parked out front. Check them out on Instagram.
    Cheers!

I don't know what you like.

    For Dallas:
-Peticolas is the best all around brewery.
-Turning Point is a must if you are searching out hazy IPAs. It's not in Dallas but between Dallas and Fort Worth.

    For beer and food:
-Braindead Brewing in Deep Ellum has great food and great beer. The best Pilsners I've had in DFW.
-Intrinsic Smokehouse Brewing has good BBQ and I'm fond of their beers.
-Malai Kitchen has good and interesting beers. The food is Americanized Thai/Vietnamese.

I haven't really been to bottle shops in the Dallas area in years.

For Austin. There are a lot of really good options.
You mentioned Jester King. It's a decent drive to get out there.
    - Live Oak I'm sure you know of. I think their beer garden is great. They're nestled in the woods just across the street north of the airport. Great classic European beers.
    - Austin Beerworks has great beers.
-Celis has the best quintessential Witbier and

    Food and Beer:
    - Oddwood Ales is one of my favorites. Great pizza and delicious beers. They do both sour/wild beers with good IPAs and great lager or lagerlike beers.
    - Austin Beer Garden Brewery (AGBG) they've won small Brewpub of the year multiple times at GABF. Known for making the best Pilsners around. Very good pizza as well.
    - Pinthouse Pizza yet another pizza centric brewpub. Best known IPAs in Austin.
    - I've never been to Black Star or 4th tap so I can't really say much about them. I hear nothing but good things.

What styles of beers do you like, this will greatly help in giving you the best experience in DFW.

Bottle shops - Central Market grocery store is great, many around the DFW metroplex. As for beer/liquor stores, SPECS or Total Wine have a giant variety. Keep in mind, in Texas grocery stores can only sell beer/wine and on Sundays, purchases cannot be made before noon. Liquor stores in Texas are closed, so plan accordingly. Also, don't forget about growler/crowler fills. Bring a few growlers or pick up a few and take them home with you!

You have to go to Austin Beer Garden Brewery (ABGB). Fantastic Pilsners and Helles.
I spent a few hours there earlier this month, it's not packaged and on store shelves.
Only at the source. Multiple GABF medals.
    Beer and a Brat = $9.

Austin Beerworks and LIve Oak ore both phenomenal.

You can easily fill up 3 days in Austin on just beer excursions...excellent beer city.

Jester King is a must stop.

I need to revisit ABGB. I think I was put off a little by the shitty service I had when I was there. Beer was good, and their lagers were right up my alley, but I left a little underwhelmed....and I think the poor service left a bad taste in my mouth and kind of set the experience back.

Live Oak was definitely cool and worth a visit. Austin Beerworks was decent but definitely my least favorite of the spots I visited from a beer perspective.
