Breweries in Portland ME

    I'm going to Maine in a couple of weeks looking to go to a brewery on Friday night, just for a tasting anyone know who does tastings on Friday nights. PS I'll be going Maine beer Co. On Saturday. Thanks

    Allagash is tough, you have to book the tour like a month ahead of time

    Shipyard too. But yea, Allagash and Maine Beer Co. are the ones you have to go to

    If by night you mean after 5:00 pm you're pretty much out of luck unless you want to go to Gritty's or Sebago's brewpubs.

    I was looking at the hours for the breweries listed above. Is it normal for Maine breweries to close early?

    It's normal for everything to close early in Maine. Sun goes down and the state shuts down. Bunker Brewing does friday evening hours until 8 and it's a great spot to hang out and drink. Other than that I'd just plan on hitting one of the numerous great beer spots we have nowadays, like Novare, Infiniti, or Mama's crowbar.
