It is hard to define pornography--but I know it when I see it. Same with BA on the sly "marketing."

All social media is suspect to some degree.

Absolutely. Even user driven wine rating sites like vivino (which I actually like a lot) are often flawed in that regard.

Before I even opened this thread, I figured Shane and SixPoint would be pointed at. Truth be told, many when he left BA some years ago claimed he was just here for « business ». I never had a dog in this fight because SixPoint is not available here, I thought « oh, poor form if he only was here to promote » as some said. Thanks @FBarber and a few others who know better to give us the true story.

Stepping in to say that SixPoint on here was slimey and shady.

I long suspected the brand was adding fake reviews in addition to their also transparent marketing as from "Sixpoint".

They regularly hype-trained their upcoming beers in the release section. I once reviewed one of their beers they had been blasting for weeks prior to release. My review was honest however mostly negative, and I mentioned that I thought the reviews were padded. Sixpoint BM'd me about it and then it suddenly disappeared.

I have the brief conversation in my BM's (and now screenshotted). Any way, shady things were happening with him on here.

Fake reviews are a staple of items for sale on Amazon as I understand it. There’s no way to prevent it, all you can do is to post an honest review if your not satisfied, and buy from a place with a guarantee. Problem with beer or wine is that’s its consumable.

This is an older thread but I was chuckling as I went through it. I was working for Sixpoint when we were bought out. For a few years Shane hadn't been super involved in the day-to-day business (living on the opposite coast can definitely play a factor) but he was the sole owner of the company when it sold to ABV. The comments about him not saying anything.... He didn't show up when he was supposed to speak to the staff about the buyout and him leaving. As for all the strangely positive reviews on the forum, there was a decent group of people from BA who came to every release and spoke with him, tried in process beers, etc. Great group of guys and I felt bad when they didn't really get a goodbye either.

Let's talk about can dates for a minute. Sixpoint , you guys dated the carton on the inside of resin at feb2 2020 then the can on the bottom says good til June 2021. Which is it? I could tell this $13.00 six pack had sat on the shelf at my local liquor store for a long time. It was horrible and now I'm forced to throw it out. Thanks for shipping and possibly lying about the dates. I cannot stand good til a certain month. Ipas don't last 6 months , maybe 3 months at the longest. This six pack sure tasted like it was year old. Way to go sixpoint, guess it's all about the money and the he'll with who buys it.
