Did they ever release that bock they were talking about? I haven't seen it.

    I wonder: Maybe it's the old Ryan's / Station 4 location?
I'm still looking myself. Supposedly it's somewhere ready to be rolled-out, but I think they are self-distributing right now.

Isn't it actually a Steam beer, which means it was boiled during fermentation, or something like that?

When I entered Yoerg's Beer, I went by what I was told by the outfit reviving the brand . At the time the bottle was very fresh, with a well-balanced flavor profile on-par with those readily available examples of California Common which do not also happen to possess the 'steam' trademark associated with a particular brand (and which is much more widely available).

While stylistic outliers like Kentucky Common have gained awareness in recent years, I'm uncertain how likely it would be that a 19th Century Bavarian immigrant would be brewing a California Common, and to this end, paging @patto1ro !

Perhaps Bavarian immigrants to the upper midwest of the U.S.A. ca. 1850 might've based their biers on the familiar styles closer of home, and rather than a California Common, perhaps the original might've been a true Dampfbier? By now there may be thousands of examples of the style since this entry was posted at homebrew talk, but as Yoerg's Beer was clearly distinct from the August Schell rendition, I didn't enter it here as a Dampfbier.

    Cheers!

At $50 for a pint, it was hopefully amazing.

Hopefully they use some of that $50/pint on their website. Yeesh!

I just looked at their site. Do they really only have an IPA and a porter for the opening?

I'd rather see a place open with two beers that are ready to pour than with a bunch of beers that aren't ready.

Drive right on by the in-law's place and hit up Invictus instead?

Coming into the cities from St. Cloud and thinking of hitting some north metro places.

Thought AEGIR would be easy enough, then I have a choice. Either down to Invictus or over to the east to Garphish. Any thoughts on which way to go between those two?
