But, but, but... what are they going to do with all those T-shirts and shaker pints???

Garronteed steps to opening a successful brewpub:
    1. Homebrew a bit, especially with a friend.
    2. All your bros and relatives to tell you how great your beer is.
    3. Pick a cool name.
    4. Print up a bunch of t-shirts and other swag.
    5. Pour your home brew at a couple local festivals. Revel in the accolades.
    6. Start a Facebook page.
    7. Contact the local media.
    8. Announce plans to open in a year.
    9. Launch a crowd-funding campaign 'cause you "figure the building purchase and equipment costs will near $1 million"

And, there ya' go; well on your way to becoming the next Omar Ansari!

They will probably be scaling up Northern Brewer kits.

I wish a few breweries would try that. Norther has some decent kits!

According to the new edition of The Growler, Clockwerks has their grand opening on September 10th. I see no mention of it on either the brewery or magazine's respective websites or social media.

On a side note, I went to Bald Man today. I convinced my girlfriend to go to the Eagan outlet mall and drop me off at the brewery. I highly recommend the strategy, since it is only a 10 minute walk. The taproom was very nice. There is a lot of space and the service was really good. I found the Calibration Day SMASH IPA and Tulepo Honey Brown to be solid. The other three were just okay.

I would not be surprised is someone who has money from the casino beats them to it or has already talked to the city about it. Since Mystic offers alcohol now, branded or exclusive beer and liquor would be a nice addition. Open a brewery, quick access to beer lines in Mystic Lake and Canterbury...$$$$

They just need to change it to Northbound Boathouse Brothers and they'll be just fine

I think they just put on "Boathouse Blond."

Nationally-speaking, we just can't get enough local, Craft Beer.

We crave stylistic variation and simply LOVE to dabble, and our vacations would be incomplete without a visit to at least one newly opened brewery. With 2,000 breweries in planning being spurred-on by customer demand, the good news is that this ride will never end!

In Minnesota the growth in the Craft Beer segment outside of the Twin Cities metro area has been just as remarkable as it has been nationally, and among the many outstate regions the Brainerd Lakes area has seen perhaps the most noteworthy increase in new breweries. Four breweries now open and two in planning (including The LAB nanobrewery), there will soon be enough to satisfy the needs of thousands of locals along with the millions of thirsty vacationers.

You should be happy to have so many new Taprooms in St. Paul.

Related but not quite "new"... Fair State announced an expansion tonight! New production facility, taproom stays where and as it exists. The new facility of course will expand production and distribution, while the taproom will be free to experiment. Cheers!

I think the new facility is a block east of Urban Growler/Bang.

Pretty close - they'll be in the Midway Brewing district alright . They are just up by transfer road . Literally 2 minutes from where Blackstack are currently building out and a couple miles from the big guys.

Pretty cool they chose Saint Paul . To begin with - looks like it's just going to be production to start with but who knows 40,000+ sq ft is a lot of room to play with.

Cool renderings can be found here http://growlermag.com/fair-state-brewing-expanding-with-new-st-paul-production-brewery/
