Did I read that Duck Duck Gose was sold online through Lost Abbey last release? If so, CA residents only? Do any other breweries out there sell any special releases to members outside of their state? If so, I'm def missing out. Thanks all. Cheers!
Lost Abbey sell their stuff online but don't ship, you have to pick it up in person. As far as I know, Pelican and Cascade are two that ship directly to customers. I'm sure there are others, those are the two that I know of.
@matrix I have to clarify that many California breweries (mainly San Diego) are picking up on the online sales. They are limited to people living in the area as Lost Abbey does the sale and then informs you of a specific day you have to pick up the beer. I haven't chanced it and came later. Alesmith does similar but you can come in any day of a certain period. Bruery is doing this as well for things like BT but I guess they are shipping as well. Bruery and Cascade are your best shot for high quality brews BA beers that'll ship to your door. I've said it once and I'll say it again, love the work Cascade does.
Clarification on The Bruery--they do NOT ship outside of California, much to my chagrin. Cascade does though.
Ahh thanks for the clarification. Well I did the best to wing that one without researching too far. What's nice about Cascade is now that we are out of the polar vortex days, all the people outside California don't have to worry about their bottles freezing.
Eh, no biggie. I only know because I specifically looked into joining one of their societies, but I don't have anyone who would be a trustee for me.
And check the breweries' fine print. While they may ship, there are many states that legally they cannot ship to. Make sure your state isn't on the naughty list before you place your order.
