My timelines are now full of breweries, taprooms, and bars posting updates, ranging from limiting hours and taking extra precautions to closing until further notice and layoffs. It's sad to see that some are already struggling with no relief in sight, and frustrating that our ability to help as consumers is increasingly being restricted.

    What's happening near you?

Lagunitas Chicago is closed indefinitely. So far, mainly I'm seeing "we're monitoring the situation, following CDC guidelines and will keep you posted should anything change". But, as the # of cases will undoubtedly explode next week, I"m sure even the smaller establishments will need to close.

So far most in my area are putting out a message on Facebook or whatever platform they like to outline the precautions they are taking. I think all are still planning on being open. Saint Arnold cancelled and postponed a few events, but the restaurant and tap room are still open. I'm also going out to a few taprooms tonight with friends.

According to Facebook, more of the Snake Saturday parties are open than closed this weekend.

I anticipate some of this will change shortly, but for now we're in the clear. I do try to call a brewery before I drive out just to verify they haven't changed their minds.

My local announcements in PA are mostly "we're brewers so we know how to clean, normal hours" or "take-out beer only".

I really haven't kept up with local breweries as of late, but when the venerable ACC Basketball Tournament in Greensboro is cancelled, I do pay attention.

A few taprooms have indicated they're closing until further notice, and a number of different events have been cancelled. Otherwise, I'm seeing a lot of the same thing @champ103 mentioned... lot of emails from different vendors noting that for now they're still open, but implementing additional precautions and for now just monitoring the situation.

That being said, it's clear that people here are very worried and/or scared. Social distancing has become the new "normal" when it comes to outings and venues.

We are open for our usual hours but we have taken precautions like adding multiple hand sanitizer pump stations, cleaning/disinfecting tables and basically all things 100% more often than we already did, removing the water station, removing the kids' toy area, and no longer accepting personal growlers, etc. Business was normal yesterday and the day before, but we are anxiously waiting to see how the weekend bodes for us.

All the breweries near me have cancelled/postponed big events, but remain open.

I'm getting so much in my FB feed re: "we're sanitizing/sterilizing a lot"... yeah, I know, you're a brewery... it's like 90% of the job/work.

Really small brewery in my really small town was supposed to participate in a "Leprechaun Crawl" tonight. The event has been canceled, but they are still open.
Next town over another brewery I always glance at on the way home had their overhead door open. I first thought, yea, this is the warmest day all year, then I thought, oh, fresh air. Their parking lot was pretty sparse for a Friday.

As @champ103 mentioned most are taking precautions around here. Holler posted their rules, removing games, only credit (card reader you use), not tabs (so they don't have to scan your card in, sanitizer before check in, etc.. I am now wigging out because I don't want to panic like everyone else I have witnessed and go to the store on a buying spree. Leave it to me to get caught with my pants down on consumables while trying to play the good consumer.

In my very small town area that includes about seven or eight local breweries within a 30 mile radius it seems to be business as usual.
People are joking about not shaking hands and rubbing elbows instead at one of my local breweies.
But, when I went to the grocery store last night, that was kind of insane.
    Breweies, sane.
    Grocery store, insane.

My local brewery was still open today. They're using plastic cups instead of glassware now but I'm not complaining when I get 20 ounce Mug Club beers instead of the typical 17 ounce size ones.:beers: I'll make sure I can do what I can to help!
