    Good morning fellow BA's

I am newly engaged and both me and my fiancé are both beer nuts. [ not alcoholics just enjoy tasty beer  ]

We are looking for different venues/breweries about 4 hr drive max away from Chicagoland area. I know that Illinois has Prairie St brewery in Rockford, one of the oldest breweries in Illinois, and we're already looking into that one and Two Brothers in Warrenville, IL. But I would love to hear about more ideas or places if anyone has any.

You know what, screw it, what are other breweries in the country that host weddings?

    Thanks guys. ¡Salud!

The two brothers roundhouse in aurora is an awesome venue. It's both a brewery and a historic train roundhouse. Great food and the upstairs room has a ton of exposed beams and a fire place.

@lopy got married at Revolution on Milwaukee and that was awesome! Really cool industrial type space too.

Yeah the more I look into Two Brothers the more excited I get. It looks super affordable too! From what I can tell theres no cost for the venue itself. The whole cost comes from food and drink packages per person. I never thought of Revolution. I'm gonna have to check it out too. Thanks guys!

Maybe I can have the rehearsal at Half Acre. Especially since they added a new kitchen! Thanks a lot guys. Appreciate the insight!

I looked into Two Brothers extensively a year ago but don't remember specifics the people there were great and it was very affordable if you had less than roughly 140 people.

That was my first choice the wife's was Meson Sabika, so we did meson sabika:stuck_out_tongue:

Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee also does weddings. Just an hour drive across the cheddar curtain from Chicago.

Got married in May at Onion Pub/Wild Onion and it was an easy and fun experience to deal with them (even let us take wedding pics in the brewery). I have a co-worker that got married (at least the reception, cant remember) at Revolution Brew Pub and he says that was great too.

Not a brewery but my buddy was recently at the well known beer bar Kaiser Tiger which could be an option.

I'll add another vote to the Roundhouse in Aurora. I've been to about 3-4 weddings there and everyone of them have been amazing. The venue itself is one of the better ones in the Chicagoland area IMO and the food is very good as well. Both the outdoor courtyard where they hold the actual wedding ceremony (weather permitting) and the banquet hall where they hold the reception are top notch.

Check out 18th Street's new Hammond space. They just posted a video on their facebook promoting their event opportunity. Looks rad.

Thanks a lot guys! I've literally requested a tour of every place that was recommended. Next week we're heading to Prairie Street and Revolution.

We checked out Two Brothers and the place looks very legit. I've heard great things about their food. The outdoor terrace looks super sweet too! The thing I didn't like about it is that, IMO, it had very low ceilings which gave it a little "basement" look. And it did smell somewhat musty but then again they said they were going to be replacing the carpet within the next couple months. Ultimately i think the outside looked a lot better than the inside. BUT I'm still going to take a tour of every place recommended

Again, Thanks again for the recommendations!
