I was wondering if there was a list anywhere. I know rogue and the brewery ship to cali but cant find others. I have goodled and used the search function but no luck. I think it would be sweet if we could start a list so people can have access to beers they may not find other places.
From what I understand this is illegal to do in most states. There is a 3 tier distribution system put in place where the beer must be held by a distributor that is not attached to the brewery before it can be sold outside of the brewery. Some states, very few states like California I believe do not have this 3 tier system. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong on any of this. I am anything but a lawyer. :-)
Im pretty sure there are few states that allow it, just glad im living in cali for the moment so ill take advantage of this while I can. Nothing like trying some great new beers that cant be found locally.
I don't see Sculpin cans on the list. Seems like that would make a lot of sense to ship rather than bombers.
Ive seen that most are oredon breweries and cali will ship inside of cali. Im going to keep compiling a list and maybe create a document for people to use. Good info so far!
Based on this map, I would say nope. http://beerstore.ballastpointbrewingandspirits.com/bottled-beer-c1.aspx
Great thread! Bear Republic has a great selection of top notch brews but unfortunately they will only ship to California addresses.
I wasn't expecting Indiana to be on this list but I was expecting it to state Felony either. Stupid Indiana.
Bumb for more! My bruery order will be here Monday, and my cascade should be here Wednesday. Thanks for the info. Lets keep it going!
