Ballast Point, used to love them now I avoid them.

Edit: It's not necessarily the quality of the beer it's more about the quality of local fresh beer without the price gouge.

Stone. I used to be underwhelmed by their beers. They all tasted the same and very one-note and I didn't understand all the hype. The only one I liked was Cali-Belgique. Then after a few months of not drinking a single Stone beer I started giving them a second chance. Stone IPA, AB Ruination 2.0, and Sublimely Self Righteous Bastard all blew me away and now Stone has become one of my favorites.

    Great Lakes. 1st 4-5 beers I didn't care for. Next 3-4
including CHILLWAVE turned me right arond.

This thread got me to thinking about how little my opinion of breweries have changed. Most of the ones I liked, I still like and vice versa. There are a few that I have warmed to a bit and cooled on a bit but more like a 20 degree shift than a 180. I have to go WAAYY back to think of early favorites that I now realize are less than stellar.

Dark Horse used to be my jam but now every time I try something from their catalog I'm less than impressed. They seem to be having a tough evolving with the industry. The small barrel aged releases they started doing aside from 4 elf have pretty much been flops in my eyes. Makes me sad as they were one of my first craft beer loves.
