For me it was Funky Buddha, I was excited to try Blueberry Cobbler but when I did, it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. I gave them another shot and they are now one of my favorites.

Try their sours - they are world class. Fat Tire is not representative.

I live in Canada, trust me I am far from being concerned about keeping up with the latest trends. The only American beer we get is Anchor Steam, Boston Lager and SNPA (just recently).

The yeast character is very dirty, and it is the focal point for Unibroue. The beers are under-hopped for the style, and don't hold a candle to the originators for the styles. Compare Maudite or La Fin du Monde to Westmalle's versions of the same beer style.

Positive 180: Jackie O's. I still really can't get behind Mystic Mama even to this day, but god damn...those fellas can crank out some glorious stouts. Oro Negro opened my eyes.

    Also Platform Beer Co.
I used to feel like they were too trendy and haughty, but had Speed Merchant on tap and it smokes 90% of all IPAs I've ever had.

Negative 180: I don't think I've turned a full 180 on an entire brewery quite yet, but I know that aside from the a Pineapple Sculpin and Ginger Big Eye, the BP seasonal fruit beers were shit.

I would love to disagree, but alas, I can't. They brew very modestly and traditionally, no focus on pushing any envelope on flavor, style, or anything. I remember enjoying Alchemy Hour..*ahem* Chillwave. Other than that and pub exclusives, nothing is quite eye-opening or progressive.

They're pretty solid, but nothing to get a frowny face over... I bet you're doing okay up there in NE

Its weird, I have taken an absolute loving to Founders in the last 6 months. I always knew they were good but my eyes were open in November or so when I had project PAM. I have picked up something from them every month and my palate must have changed because they are top 3 brewery now in my opinion. I wish their IPAs were something special but their barrel aged stuff in mass quantity can't be beat.

Stone has also made a 180. I always thought of them as a bigger brewery with nothing special. Their Enjoy By and esp after having Xocoveza has changed my mind. Had a woot stout in December and cemented my feeling. They know beer and me

I disagree, Hopslam is a great brewery. Love their cellar-aged barleywine.

Yes Sir that's what did it for me. Their sours are amazing and I have since warmed up to their regular offerings as well. DBA and Union Jack are regulars in the fridge for sure.

Cantillon, let them hit it from the front, did a 180 and now they are hitting it from the back, #nohomo.

If you see Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, give it a shot. Probably the best Stone beer I have had since Thunderstruck and before that, Xocoveza. Cheers!

Definitely New Belgium and Sam Adams. Not that I hate them now. Just, used to buy their brews all the time, and lately most of their stuff seems bland. NB prices are usually higher than SN and I'd much rather drink most of their line up over these two brands and save some money to boot, at least with NB.

Local for me - it was Weyerbacher. They were all over the board with consistency over the years and now have it dialed in.

I did a 180 on many Tripels/Trappiste beers. I can't stand Chimay or La Trappe anymore. I've grown to hate that glucose syrup taste. Karmeliet is about the only one I can stand, because it's got that nice acidity to it (I can, on occasion, drink a Duvel for the same reason). And I still love Rochefort. But that's about it.

Their Citrucinesis, New Dogtown, Daytime and particularly Born Yesterday are drier and delicious though

I can see rejecting a brewery for coming out FOR oil and gas business, but for coming out AGAINST ? Don't drink anything from Colorado then, coz most of the breweries there are going or are already green...

Otter Creek. I used to love Copper Ale (RIP) but all their other offerings were kind if mediocre. Now they have really rebranded and are putting out some great beers. I think i'l go have a Citra Mantra now.

-180 YARDS Brewing Used to love a majority of their stuff. Now maybe only one or two beers tops. Picked up a 6 of regular Love Stout (one of my favs from YARDS on Nitro) and was really disappointed. Brawler is inconsistent. Philly Pale Ale just doesnt taste the same to me anymore. Maybe my palate has changed?
