My LHBS has some chocolate flavoring extract. Does anyone have experience using this? How did it turn out? I'm thinking of using it in a porter. Also, wondering if anyone would recommend any of the fruit extracts or should I stay away?
Stay away from the fruit extracts when used alone, as they are quite artificial tasting. Some homebrewers like to use them to augment real fruit.
