1, 2, 4, & 10 are probably state law (I think they are state law in MN - too lazy to actually look it up - , for some depending on the type of license the establishment has). #9 may also be required by law, IDK.

My impression agrees with you and others... the rules themselves are OK, but the way they are presented could be greatly improved.

Does that mean a brewery cannot have an outdoor space/deck?

I read that to mean no alcohol from other producers.

I have no problem with any of them.
Maybe the way it's listed may be a bit confrontational, but maybe they tried it the other way, and people weren't getting the hint. I'm sure we've all seen / run into those folks who think the entire world is for them and them alone; the rest of us are just to serve them or stay out of their way.
I presume that it's a smaller, limited space when they talk about no parties - most places that have the capabilities will allow it.
I bet they've had issues where people will come in unannounced, with tons of food, decorations, etc and set up big parties there.

Parties, food trays seems a bit draconian. We see this from time to time at local breweries, even New Belgium tasting room I have seen people having birthday parties, even for kids.

Cleaning up after yourself is common sense, and a common courtesy.

Are kids allowed only during those hours? I agree with kids must be accompanied, but better they should behave, as I've seen kids misbehave (making a lot of noise, running, etc.) within a few feet of their parents who ignore them.

I’m surprised family friendly hours are at the heart of happy hour on Friday. I would’ve expected something off peak. Not quite sure what to make of that, to be honest. I have kids, so family friendly breweries are great....but I wouldn’t expect Friday happy hour to be family friendly. Whatever.

It’s their business, they can do whatever they want.

I imagine it’s much easier for the staff to maintain order if they can just point to written rules.

Handwriting looks like every woman between the ages of 15 and 45. Why do they all have the same handwriting????

Could be more level -- seems to fall off as you get to the right.

Enjoy the colors, but not the fact that the apparent pattern is not consistent.

The real question that is being overlooked- Would Biggie approve?
No mention of not getting high on one's own supply.
Seems like if they wanted an ounce they wouldn't tell them to bounce.

Absolutely zero wrong with these and happy to see them posting rules. Maybe they listen to their customers and comments and decided to apply some guild lines for folks. Good for them for making an effort, these are very basic and common sense items that should offend no one.
    Cheers

    House rules:
    1) No extended smartphone use within the taproom. If you are seen spending more than 1 minute continuous on your phone you will be asked to leave. Beer nerds, take a picture of the taplist and review your beers later.
    2) Optional: The house strongly encourages patrons to converse with at least 1 person outside of your group. Building of community spirit.

And if you ask them they get all pissed and say you can’t ask me that. Because it’s not a damn service dog!

Service dogs don't bark for no reason, point that out to them and they get apocalyptic. I don't know when it became ok to bring your fucking animals everywhere with you.

    I think everyone can agree:

Kids are definitely worse than dogs.... at least dogs are cute and don't carry disease like those filthy children.

    Rules is rules.

They will change them if they have an empty taproom.

If it is a state law that no dogs are allowed, with an exception for service dogs, then it seems reasonable that the business should be able to ask for documentation. An actual service animal is certified as such and the owner has paperwork showing that. Anyone can buy their dog a vest from Amazon.

Quoting myself because after reading a little bit on this, I don't believe this to be true. In fact, it may be the opposite: if a person produces a certificate, they are perhaps MORE likely to be scamming and to have purchased a fake certificate.

An owner of an alleged service animal who's animal behaves inappropriately can be asked to remove the animal regardless of whether it is or is not a service animal (or so I have read).
