Brewery Shoutout: Monocacy Brewing

    I just wanted to recognize Monocacy Brewing in Frederick, MD for the amazing job they're doing. I've now had 5 of their rotating beers and every single one of them is stellar. By far the best is their Brewtus coffee stout. It's easily one of the best coffee forward beers I've had in a loooooong time. If you're in the area and have time to stop by the brewery or any local shop, give them an opportunity and prepare to be impressed.

    Agreed! Had the Brewtus on cask with cocoa nibs last week at Churchkey and was seriously impressed. Very similar to Founders Breakfast Stout IMO. With Frederick only an hour drive away, I definitely plan to hit their brewery ASAP!

    Do they sell bottles at the brewery on Saturdays? I was going to stop by a few weeks ago on my way to visit my gf. I sent an email through their website asking the same question a few days in advance. I never heard back so I skipped it.

    I also think a lot of Monocacy. Between them and Flying Dog, Frederick is a great area for fine craft beer.
