I'm on a sticker kick at the moment. Anyone know what breweries will "donate" stickers with a SASE? Mostly looking for stickers from breweries in: San Diego, Chicago, PacNW, or just any that have cool logos. Thanks in advance.
For Starters... Breckenridge (CO)*, Full Sail (OR)*, Harpoon (MA)*, Left Hand (CO), Odell (CO), Sierra Nevada (CA)*, Smuttynose (NH), Southampton (NY), Stone (CA), Terrapin (GA), Weyerbacher (PA) * They didn't ask me for SASE... they paid for the postage.
Sixpoint... they just ask that you write them a letter to go with the SASE. Quite a few other breweries will charge you a buck or so to ship: Southern Tier, Rogue, Firestone, and Oskar Blues are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I too have been trying to accumulate as many stickers as possible to cover the beer fridge.
Firestone Walker just replied to my e-mail on 7/10/13 with this... "Unfortunately the mounting requests and lack of time and resources does not allow us to feasibly meet the demand for labels, stickers, bottle caps and coasters, so we are unable to accommodate your request. I do apologize about that, hopefully we'll be able to build enough capacity to start distribution to Florida and you will be able to get your hands on more of our items. We do appreciate your support, best of luck with the collection."
How some in the industry feel about the requests for "free" (even with an SASE) stuff: Brewerinia (sic) madness
Since that thread started in 2006, is only 2 pages long, and the last post is from 2010, shouldn't that really say, "How some (extremely few) in the industry "used to feel" about requests....." ? I look at it as free advertising for them. I have no problem sending them a SASE for anything they're willing to send. I don't write to breweries and beg for "free" stuff. It's a win-win, and they wouldn't do it if it wasn't.
Just wanted to bump with props to Sixpoint... As stated on their website, you send them a letter and a SASE and they send you back stickers. I wrote them about two weeks ago and got an envelope back yesterday. I counted a total of 20 or so stickers (mostly small, but a pretty large Sixpoint logo) and 4 coasters. Thought that was way cool...
Great thread. I love stickers, actually have a few thousand of various things (skateboarding, music, and beer lots of beer) Few companies that SASE'd for me were Sierra Nevada, bells, Lagunitas, Victory, and Oskar blues.
