The wife and I will be in Chicago in a few weeks and our friends have given us the choice of visiting either Three Floyds, Revolution, or Half Acre. Can anyone recommend which of the three to tour? I have had many of the Three Floyds' beers and a few of the revolution if that helps. Cheers!
Welcome to Chicago. I know Rev has tours Wednesday through at least Saturday with the weekday ones at 6pm. I think. Maybe 5. It's a great tour, with great guys. As far as 3Floyds, I'm pretty sure it's only on Saturday and it gets filled quickly. Can't comment on Half Acre. Hope others can give you more details. Enjoy your trip. Cheers
Half acre tours are Saturday mornings only. I think it starts at 11, limited to the first 35 or so in line.
FFF tour sucks balls. Can't drink on it, end of story. Rev has a cool tour. It's free and you get a free beer or 2 while taking it. Also, I think they give you a free drink token afterwards to use at the main bar (I was highly intoxicated before I did the tour so the token thing may/may not be accurate). Half Acre has a fun tour. It's $10 and you get a pint glass with three drink tokens for full pints on the tour. As previously stated, this tour is only on Saturdays and limited to the first 60 people. Highly recommend Rev or Half Acre. Can't go wrong with either one.
Revolution has a must visit brewery. Even if you don't go for the tour, the taproom is good enough. As @JakeT469 said, Half Acre only does one tour a week and is only for 60 people. Have three pints and then go to Bad Apple for burgers across the street.
