Brewery Vivant's Wood Aged Beer Fest is on Oct 4th, 1pm-8pm.

I have been told NO day-of ticket sales this year. Pre-sales ONLY! If this is true this is a change to previous years.

Ticket sales Sept 1 at wabf14.brownpapertickets.com, $12 gets you admission, sampler glass, 2 tokens.

Looks like it is bigger this year, closing down Cherry St for the event.

20+ beers on tap for sampling. This is one of my favorite beer events of the year. Their food offerings are good but kind of expensive. I bring snacks and save my tokens for beers.

We're thinking of heading up there this year (if I get tix).
    Love Vivant...

Considering going to this. As the ticket sales start on Labor Day I will probably be in an area with no data on my phone. Is this usually a pretty popular event (I just moved here)? Seems this is the first year with online ticket sales so maybe my question can't be answered. Think ticket sales will last until that evening?

Really want to hit this up! I really felt like I missed out by not going last year, and Vivant is slowly creeping up the list of my favorite breweries. I could down Big Red and North French all day long.

Cant say for sure but you should be ok. Last year I got tickets at the door and there was no problem. It was not crazy busy or anything. Lines were maybe 20ish people deep for pours at the height of the event. I would guess that tickets will hold out for a few days at least.

Vivant's BA beers are, IMO, lightyears better than their non-BA beers, for what it's worth, Wes. Also, the brewery space alone is worth the visit. See you there!

Awesome, I'll probably go then. I have visited once before and I love how it used to be a church. They had a Jack Daniels BA stout on draft that I really enjoyed.

Personally, I am not sure that I go as far as lightyears better, but the barrel aged offerings are certainly something special. I think that Vivants standard line up is about as solid as you can get, for a brewery of its size. It is their tap only offerings, many not barrel aged, that lead me to the point that I say the best beer in Grand Rapids is coming out of Vivant.
