Just tried this one from BV last weekend - an amazing hop character for any beer, let alone a red ale. A bit embarrassing to talk about it at a store - like that skit on SNL about Schvetty Balls - but the name aside, a great find. Does anyone know of other Great Lakes area beers that could compare? Man, BV keeps getting more respect in my book. Big fan of Triomphe and Zaison as well.
Was this canned for distribution, or is this brewery only? I have one Zaison left, and it makes me a little sad. That is a really nice saison.
Seasonal canned. You should be able to get your coq fix right now pretty much at any grocery store/beer store. I believe it is to be released frequently, so you should be able to grab a hand full of coqs every few months.
I see this as the only legitimate opportunity to be able to shout "GET YOUR HAND OFF MY COQ!" in public without having the cops involved. Well done, Vivant.
I just had to clarify to my boyfriends mother what, I (heart) (image of a rooster) meant this past weekend. We were waiting for a table, and she asked, I (heart)... chickens? No hon... not quite.
Also, in case you haven't heard, this fall Vivant is scheduled to release a collaboration beer with New Belgium. Should be awesome.
