I've been noticing that a lot of breweries have been branding what many would consider wine glasses: long stems, bulbous body, thin glass. Personally, I like them. Crooked Stave (pictured), Tired Hands, Pretty Things, Stillwater, and Maine beer have branded such glasses stateside, as have Drie Fonteinen and Cantillon. Any others I'm unaware of? Thoughts?
As soon as I posted this, I thought to myself, "ohhhh sh*t, Hill Farmstead!" De Dolle (Oerbier) and I think a few other breweries have also branded this type of glass.
Those things are totally sweet, especially with HF's killer logo. Whenever I see these threads, all I can think is that the West Coast has a serious lack of good glassware, which is kinda strange.
These are nothing new, but left off the list: Goose Island: mikkeller: some of the teku's are kind of wine glass esque...and i've even seen some long stemmed tulips. i also dig them. when i bring interesting beer to a friend's who doesn't have glassware, i always ask them to bust out wine glasses...since the nose is usually superior than that of a pint (depending on the wine glass).
