Pick up "How to Brew" by Palmer from amazon. Read it cover to cover. Welcome to the addiction.

I echo How to Brew. I also recommend The Complete Joy of Homebrewing by Charlie Papazian. Also, see if there are any Homebrewing clubs around.

Read how to brew, listen to beersmith podcast, read this forum and post questions and learn on the job.

Outside reading how to brew the most important is to have fun and Relax don't worry and have a homebrew.

Palmer's book is available online howtobrew.com as an older edition, but a hard copy is great for highlighting, writing notes, etc. The book also has a section that discusses the equipment that you'll need. You can also page thru this forum back 5-6 pages (or more at your whim) because your question is one that is frequently asked here, and you'll be able to read many recent opinions, suggestions, etc. in these previous posts that may not show up now.

Welcome to the BA site, and to this great hobby.

Find a Homebrew club and/or shadow an experienced Homebrewer. Most will brew with you because it's al the best parts of brewing without the responsibility of 100% of the cleanup. The rest would help if you fed them. I have found this is the fast track to consistent great beer. https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/community/clubs/find-a-homebrew-club/

    1. Learn procedures AND PATIENCE
    2. Work out what will be your procedures that meet your needs
    3. Purchase equipment (budget for temp control, yeast starters, and oxygenation)
    4. Brew great beer
    5. Take over answering questions like this one

Ironically BA has a page called Beer 101
