Making a white stout this weekend and quite possibly squeezing in the lager as well. Would you guys add lactose to the white stout? I can't make up my mind yet.

brewed a 1.086og imperial porter with 1318 yeast. I put the 5g. in an 8g. carboy and it blew out in 36 hours. thinking this may get down around 1.022 for just about 8.5%. also hoping no infection with the blowout, but should be good.

I brewed an English brown kit early this month, my first batch. Brewed my 2nd batch a hCitra ipa with a dry hop to follow. The brown was bottled todaye tastes solid. Have high hopes for the ipa.

Mmmmm, never though of "dry hopping" with coriander before but I definitely like the sound of it. Have you done so before and how were the results compared to using it in the boil?

Moved my RIS from primary to secondary fermentor and kegged Hefeweizen. Both samples tasted quite good, the Hefe really tasted nice, I didn't expect too much from the RIS this early in the game.

I decided to lean more towards the nonconformism as well and am brewing a dunkelweizen now, instead of the hefe. I realized when I purchased the bavarian wheat LME that there was no way in hell I can achieve a bright yellow color for the final beer, so opted for a specialty dark grain steep and am settling for a 'dark wheat' instead  I just couldn't come to grips with serving a brown-ish hued beer and calling it a hefe

It's sounding like I'll be brewing on the 4th of July

I use Vienna, Pilz, and German Dark Wheat in my Hefe. Comes out a little more golden-orange than pale yellow. I like the flavor better though, adds some toasty notes to the background and a nice layer of malt complexity. Brewing 10 gallons this weekend, half will get SN Kellerweisse yeast, the other half will get SNKW + house Brett strain...

Following the trend and brewing a Hefeweizen tomorrow. This is a re-brew of a hefe I did last month that did not turn out how I had hoped.

Turned out great! Can't really tell its a session IPA, taste like a "normal" one. I did bump the abv up to around 4.5% though. This one is a keeper, thanks!
