I live in San Marcos, Tx. I looked for a brew club and the closest are Austin and San Antonio (for those who don't live in Tx its a 45 minute-ish drive either way). Yes, it isn't a crazy distance, but Im looking for someone in town that would like to share some beers or brew together. There used to be two brew clubs here locally and they are both deceased, hopefully that isn't a bad sign.

If you live near San Marcos or know someone who does feel free to give me a shout.

I'm in Kyle and have a grand total of 2 extract/steeping grain batches under my belt. I think it'd be cool to get a local homebrew club going.

I have posted on a few other forums and have heard a decent amount of interest from people that want a club. So Im considering starting one up myself. If you would be interested shoot an email to [email protected] and I will send out dates of a first meeting if we get enough people. Should be fun if it works out. Tell one and tell all.

    Best regards,
    Chris

I'd be interested in some shares. Haven't done any homebrew, but I guess that's an eventuality. I work with a guy that would probably also be interested. I'm in New braunfels

Check out Middleton Brewing in the Wimberly area. They used to, and maybe still do, run a homebrew store in their brewpub. They should know of any existing homebrew groups in the area.

While I'm not near San Marcos, I fully support the idea of starting a club. It is a ton of fun to hang out with like minded people and bounce ideas off of the and get objective feedback on your beers from someone who knows what they're talking about. Also, it's nice to talk about beer to someone who doesn't zone out after 15 seconds of hardcore beer nerding.
