    Decided to say screw the recipe kits and brew two of my own contraptions. Wish me luck.

    Here's the list of hops I have. 6 oz of simply select, 4 ounces centennial, 10 oz summit 2 oz US willamette, 6 oz Columbus, 2 oz Apollo, 2 oz Amarillo, 1 oz Fuggle, and 1 oz Goldings.

    Good luck....I have done some "off the cuff" brews a few times and they turned out great. Brewed 2 batches Friday myself. Have fun!

    Good luck. Nice job shopping for your hops. Are you looking for a discussion on which combinations to use in your recipe?

    I hope you're not planning on using all 34 oz of those hops for just 2 recipes... are they 5 gal batches or what? Even if they're imperial IPAs that sounds like hop sludge in the making.

    Any other specifics on these recipes?
