I've tried Fawcett, Crisp, Bairds and Muntons, and while they're all fine malts the Fawcett just tastes the best to me. It works very well for me in the very simple malt bills that I gravitate towards.

I'd like to add that I prefer the Fawcett Golden Promise over Simpson's. It just has a more pronounced "Yes, this is Golden Promise and not just pale ale malt" sorta character, if you know what I mean. Hard to verbalize, easy to recognize, proof in the pudding type stuff. Fawcett is also my preferred maltster for brown, amber, and various roast malts for the same reasons.

Great, thanks! I've used a few different MOs also, but never really did a head to head comparison, or could tell a huge difference between them. I'm now planning on using Fawcett for some upcoming batches.
