I like to experiment with different things. I was just wondering if anyone has tried any kind of tea additions in their homebrews. If so when did you add it, what kind of characteristics did it impart, and any other pointers would be great. Thanks for the info.

    Cheers!

I did a sorachi p green tea saison. I steeped 10 green tea bags in the wort. At the end of the boil for 20 minutes before cooling. Green tea is not a strong flavor, especially in a beer with modest hops, grains of paradise, and orange peel, but you could tell that it was there and I feel like it however make the beer refreshing. I will make the recipe again, and will not change how I did the green tea.

Nice, thanks for the input. Do you think that if you were to use any flavored green teas (like mint or jasmine), that the flavors might be too over powering?

I had a commercial green tea beer before. I liked it so I asked the brewer. They cold steeped the tea and added it to the keg.
