I have an idea that I want to brew a beer with rooibos tea leaves. From the couple that I've had they have a great flavor that would work nicely with a wheat beer. I haven't brewed many homebrews so I'm looking for a little help. Anybody have tips for brewing with tea? Do I steep the leaves with the boil or brew the tea and add it to the wort? I'm still researching hops but any suggestions are great.

((This is a real amateur post but any help would be appreciated. Also please don't be a dick because you know more than me about homebrewing.))

Add the tea at flameout (in a muslin bag) and let it steep for the normal brewing time you would for a cup of tea (e.g. use the wort as the water you'd normally use for tea), then pull out and chill as normal. You'll have to play with the amounts of tea to get it right, but from personal experience rooibos works great in beer.

Adding at flameout has the added advantage that it doesn't dilute your beer, like adding cold brewed or hot brewed and chilled tea to your beer would.

I've used Earl Grey. Made the tea the night before and added it to chill a saison, wonderful.
