Nodding Head in Philly had a small, frequently changing beer lineup. All the beers I had there were great, didn't try the food.

I always liked the British Food Sampler at The Ship Inn.

Looks like you're looking for food and beer in the same place, and none of the above places mention any kind of food on their websites. Just throwing that out there.

With that being said, It wouldn't be a bad idea to head out to Kane and Carton both in Monmouth County in NJ. They're within about a half hour of each other. Neither have food, as both are very young, but both have very good beers. I've never visited Kane, but my Carton visit was extremely enjoyable. Owner and brewers just hanging out, pouring samples, talking beer.

There are a decent number of good beer bars with food in the area for food, though. Enjoy!

Stewart's in Bear, DE doesn't look like much but has pretty good beer and food.
