This is probably about as polarizing as a nutritional supplement can get imo: http://anabolicminds.com/articles/i...of-time-meet-brewtein-the-protein-beer-18796/ I think I would have to try it out of sheer curiosity.
Mighty Squirrel (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/41562/182456/) is pretty much the same concept and on shelves in MA.
Mighty Squirrel: I hope you did your market reseearch and wish you much success, but... What craft beer drinker is going to go for a "light" beer?
Alcohol inhibits the synthesis of muscle and working out especially doing cardio after drinking is dangerous so yeah this is a bad idea.
"The creator or Brewtein was inspired to make this beer when he would go to the bar, he found himself "double fisting" a protein shake and a beer and decided he would combine the two." Double fisting a protein shake and a beer? That dude must not like the taste of beer if he chasing it with a protein shake.
Dangerous? Inceases dehydration, sure. Impaired judgement, certainly possible. Beyond that, let's see some proof. I run 4 miles after drinking 3-5 beers on a regular basis and have experienced no ill effects.
There has been many times I want to drink a beer after the gym but need to drink my protein and eat chicken
Alcohol inhibits nutrient oxidation until the alcohol has left the system. This is idiotic. If they can fool some idiots though more power to them.
