There's a huge parking area almost directly across the street from Coast.

Just get the low sugar gatorade. Basically the same stuff as pedialyte, just 1/5 the price.

I'll be the white, bearded middle aged guy wearing a yellow "Mr Horse" cap...so I'm different:grinning:

Today is the day folks. Hope everyone is indulging in a large breakfast in preparation. No need for a breakfast stout today. My girlfriend asked me if we were going to pre-game Brewvival, my response, "you are severely under estimating Brewvival"

Also, I'm shocked more hasn't been leaked about this. I haven't see one brewery confirm their attendance via social media (with the exception of COAST and Westbrook of course). Information has been on lock down.

    Happy Brewvival Day everyone!

I got the lineup from the breweries I represent that will be attending yesterday and got to meet a 'beer celebrity' (in my world) at our sales meeting. I am curious to hear what everyone thinks of the changes!

If I didn't have to be at work sober at 10pm, I would've bought a ticket.

List of breweries/beers is much better than last year in terms of quality, but the lines are pretty bad. Maybe because there's not as much quantity in terms of breweries/pouring stations. Or at least that's how it feels.

Anyone have a highlight list of beers there? I wasn't able to make it and I like to torture myself

Great time at Brewvival this year. Gorgeous day, great fellowship, and lots of fantastic beers. Unfortunately, I'm just getting over a cold so my palate was a little askew, but all in all, a great showing by some fabulous breweries.
Main disappointment was the very early closing/departure of The Wrecking Bar. Never even got to try any of theirs.

A special thanks to Jaime, David, Scott, and the dedicated group of people who make this special event possible.

So i realize everyone who went will probably be incapacitated until tomorrow, but i'm sure all the people who couldn't go, like myself for instance, would love to hear the highlights, so people who went, what were the exciting beers or brewers to make it this year?

The line for Westbrook at about 2:30...amazing that there were super long lines for some but others you could walk right up! The people for Prarie were awesome! I enjoyed everything they had...[IMG]

Amazing time. Ill post more later but for now I'll just say that this was only my second Brewvival but I thought it was way better than last year. Here's a list of beers I had, I missed writing down some but most that I tried are there:

    Alpine Nelson
    Cantillon Fou
    Cantillon grand Cru (multuples)
    Sweet water pit and pendulum
    Sweet water second helping
    Holy city barrel aged Barleywine
    Founders misty mountain
    Cycle fixie
    CCB endless nameless
Coast Blackbeerd 10 with cocoa nibs (multuples)
Coast boy King cask with apricot
    Cantillon classic Gueuze (several)
Bells old ale aged in whiskey barrels with cherries
    Bo and Luke
    BA sexual chocolate
    Can can Cherise
    Barrel Agrd Plead the Fifth
    Dark horse 666 sassafras
    Cognac Jesus (multiples)
    Cycle Tuesday
    Tilquin Gueuze l'Ancienne (multiples)
    Six point double sweet action
    Revelry malt liquor
    Oscar blues coffee porter hotbox
    Jester King black metal
Holy city notorious pig it was all a pecan dream (multiples)

It was pretty ridiculous I felt like every station I went to was pouring home runs. There was a Cantillon table and after Fou kicked there was essentially zero line. I probably had a whole 375mL of Classic Gueuze myself. What an event.

    Back with more thoughts.

Like I said an amazing, amazing event. In my opinion the changes were definitely for the better. The lines as a whole were smaller this year than last for the majority of places, and even the longer lines moved surprisingly fast. It seemed like it was easier to get the really rare beers this year, I think it's cause most breweries avoided timed tappings (which also cut down on lines). Food trucks were smaller in number but fantastic and the two times we went to get food the lines were nothing (that Artisan Meat Share breakfast sandwich, wow). Plenty of porta potties, lots of shade, beautiful weather. The crowd was really great, friendly and respectful (which unfortunately is not always the case at beer fests these days). I saw essential no line jumping, bickering, fighting or anything.

The tap list was insane, some others I had but forgot to mention earlier were Angry Chair Tiramisu Stout and mojoito gose, some apricot BA sour from CCB which I didn't get the name of, CS nightmare on Brett with Raspberry, Foothills Jade and Oak Aged Barleywine.

In addition to the beers I got to try, some potential highlights that I missed out on were Westbrook BA 4th, Bourbon Coconut Mexican Cake, Jester King Fen Tao, Double Barrel Jesus, Bo and Luke with sassafras, Coffee Blackbeerd. The list goes on and on.

Personally highlights for me were Cycle Tuesday (all 4 ppl in our group listed that as their favorite of the day), 2010 Blackbeed with cocoa nibs, BA Sexual Chocolate, Can Can Cherise, and the nearly unattended Cantillion table (still don't see how that happened).

Thanks again to Jamie, Dave, the entire COAST crew, and the guys from CBX/ Edmunds for putting on a world class event! Already looking forward to next year!

That Cognac Hand and Seal from Brooklyn Brewery...wow! Being that Hand and Seal is one of my favorite beers anyway, I was really excited to try this one (probably about 3-4 times actually) along with all the other great stuff that was there. Great event and can't wait until next year!

Me and the group I was with had a blast. Absolutely perfect weather and wonderful beer everywhere you went. The Cantillon table was a nice surprise and got to finally try Fou! Went back multiple times to try them all.
