Looking for a place to eat Saturday after Brewvival. Staying in Mt. Pleasant. Have reservations at Colemans for 8. Is this a good choice?
You will be too drunk to enjoy good food...I vote a big fat burger at Poe's instead or a big BBQ platter at Fiery Rons (across the street from Poes). In the AM, get a greasy breakfast at the Sea Biscuit on IOP.
As it's already been stated and I'm sure many more will, Edumunds Oast is a 100% must stop, especially that weekend. Last year during Brewvival they had 2 Cantillon's ON TAP and an INSANE bottle list. Consistently the best beer list of any bar in the Carolina's. The sours they brew in house are awesome, but if they have the Viridi DIPA on don't slip up by not ordering that one. Best DIPA/IPA ive ever had. They are also up for a James Beard award (just announced this week).
I agree we ate/drank at Edmund's the Friday night before Brewvival last year and it was great. Can't remember the name of the place that we ate at Saturday after Brewvival, but I am sure it was good.
I can't imagine going to Edmunds AFTER brewvival, there's no way I'll be driving anywhere. Hell, I live in park circle and am slightly worried about riding my bike!!! Last year was a blast, can't wait!
Edmund's Oast is awesome after Brewvival...was able to get a seat at the bar for dinner and drinks last year...awesome experience. If you're in MT P check out Sesame Burgers and Beer(nice tap list)and Charleston's Cafe for breakfast or brunch...
Yes, Coleman Public House kicks ass. You'll enjoy it. Everyone is spot on re: Edmund's Oast, but no one addressed your initial question. I would skip Sesame in favor of Coleman Public House. I would also go back to Coleman for brunch (assuming you're just trying to stick around Mount P).
Edmund's has a solid brunch too. If you're here on Friday, they also do a great $4 happy hour at the bar only 4:30-6:30 w/ a few house brews, limited draft list, and some small plates on special. Keep an eye on their Facebook/Instagram for details.
