Bought a bottle because Strong Ale is one of me favorite styles. I noticed at the bottom of the bottle their appears to be a lot of sediment/chunks which indicates it may be old. What say you? Drinkable or not?

Freshness date not indicated, of course.

    **There appears. Dumb spelling error.

I'd say drinkable. Of the reviews that mentioned the chunks, none of them were particularly negative. I'd go for it

    Boy, do I feel like a horse's pa-toot.

Had I bothered reading the reviews carefully, I would have noticed that other people mentioned that there were floaters in it and said it was good, which means your prediction is probably correct. Thanks.

Btw are floaters yeast? If the beer isnt old and there are floaters is it bc the filtering process went wrong? I recall an issue like with this same brewery's IPA (Lakefront). The beer tasted fine and was clearly fresh but there were floaters like crazy.

    Yes, most likely yeast.

I drank it yesterday. The floaters were a non-issue. Good beer, very similar to Eye of the Hawk only the flavor was a tad more mellow.
