I agree with these 2. However, they would fall under the more funky/horse blankety/husky flavors as opposed to the sour. Still delicious IMO.

Boulevard Saison-Brett with at least a couple years on it is the one that helped me really "get" Brett character. As others have mentioned, Brett doesn't necessarily equate to sour. To me it has a slightly vinous quality, it's hard to describe. Logsdon Seizoen Bretta is another great one, which I may now actually prefer to Saison-Brett. I think The Bruery Saison Rue and Saison De Lente (among others probably) use Brett yeast. And of course Orval, as others have suggested. Or any of the Anchorage beers: Tide and its Takers, Love Buzz, Bitter Monk, Galaxy etc. The thing about Anchorage is they also age their beers in wine barrels, so it might be harder to separate the Brett character from the wine character. But they're all so damn good. Enjoy the journey!

Sierra Nevada Brux was pretty good. Orval is bottled with brett although im not sure which strain they use.

This. I came here to say exactly these two things: Brett ≠ sour, and Rayon Vert = yummo for a relatively great price.

I think the confusion comes in as a result of the fact that a lot of sour beers have brett in them, but brett by itself does not make a beer sour. Maybe fruity and maybe moderately tart, but definitely not sour.

Just got my first four pack of Rayon yesterday and proceeded to drink it all in one night. Didn't realize it was "bretty" until this thread.

Exactly. I didn't look into it at all last night and signed on here to read some reviews and find out why I liked it, popped into this thread and that's when I had the AHA! moment.

Yeah. They did a good job with that one. I get the feeling that they knew what they wanted to do, and nailed it.

Love Buzz from Anchorage is the best Brett beer ever. Find it and pour it into your mouth....immediately!

2nd choice would be Oro de Calabaza from Jolly Pumpkin.

I found the 100% Brett version of Autumn Maple very interesting & enjoyable- it really changed to base beer.

every Brett beer I've had smells and tastes like it was fermented by a spoilage yeast......which coincidentally they have. Not my thing, I like clean, proper ale.

Saint's Devotion was crazy. From cold to warm it became a completely different beer. Really enjoyed it.

Mikkeller's collab with Anchorage "Farmhouse Invasion IPA" was one of the best brett beers I've had, the citrus from the hops they used really compliments brett.
