I tend to known as the guy who asks to drink out of a wine glass. They dont seem to mind (thus far. When one breaks, i'm sure its a no go ever again).

Great beers I've drank out of solo cups before:

    Alpine Nelson

    I regret NOTHING.

I would laugh your ass out my front door if you brought a glass to my house!

I always bring my own glassware. Did it at the dentist last week.

When I have tastings, I make sure to have enough glassware for the others I invite. I just ask that they treat my glasses like they would theirs (for people who are friends of friends that come over as well). When I go to friends places for tastings, they usually provide glasses as well.

Most of time. Craft or non-craft drinkers.

I already bring my own beer to family events so it is only natural to bring my preferred drinking vessel. #properglassware

I'm a bit of a furniture snob so I also bring my own chair. Sometimes a little square of carpet for underfoot.

Seriously, I would suggest taking it as learning opportunity, to see if you're really having a different experience out of a frosted mug or Solo. Dangit, any occasion that calls for a Solo is probably a good enough time to lift the whole taste experience. Be down with the people!

Society really has become very complicated. The Walking Dead scenario come true is really going to be more difficult for some than others.

Non Craft drinking friends? I don't associate myself with "those" people... jk I'm sure I can find something to pour my beer into or drink from can/bottle typically not breaking out the big guns in those situations anyways

Absolutely. Let me tell you, it was in everyone's best interest though. The only time quitters have been winners.

The only reason I could think of to bring your own glassware is if you were getting together with craft drinking friends for a tasting, and the hosts specifically said they didnt have enough appropriate glassware to go around.

I'd probably laugh in your face and kick you out. You don't need to be a part of my life if you think this is acceptable behavior as a guest. If you can't get down on the red plastic cup, or whatever glassware I do happen to have, and am willing to bring out while entertaining guests. Beat it.

Yep....go to parties all the time and bring my own glasses. If I'm bringing my own beer, why the heck not. Don't feel like drinking out of a solo cup, wine glass, or sippy cup. Snob? Nah, just want a good glass of beer.

Hell no and wow, I can't believe how many people have actually done this! Super tool move, imo. Just use whatever they have, everybody at least has a water glass or something if the beer needs to be poured at all.

I took my own glass a few times to my non-craft beer drinking friend's house and I felt like an ass...
So now I try to take cans, that way I don't have to worry about glassware.

Funny the OP used a tulip glass as an example. Besides a teku glass nothing says "Prissy" like a tulip.
