Whenever I travel these days, I bring beer home that I can't get in my area. Nothing new there. But I was wondering, why don't I bring beer to wherever I'm going so that I can trade or provide someone with something they otherwise wouldn't have. To that end, I'm traveling from NY to Denver in January and aside from the obvious hard to obtain stuff [e.g. Heady, HF] is there anything that Denver BAs crave that is readily accessible in the East? If you don't know whether it's accessible, I'll let you know. And cans are preferable since there's reasonable reason to believe they won't break open in suitcases. Come to think of it, the reason I don't take beer to where I'm going is because I surround everything I bring back with dirty laundry. But I'm willing to take a chance so fire away.
I'm not into trading, but Black Chocolate Stout certainly comes to mind, or any of the Founders stouts.
I don't normally trade either. And I'm not that into stouts - who makes this Black Chocolate Stout you refer to. I'm going hunting and gathering tomorrow. You mean to say you don't get Founders Breakfast Stout? If it's still around, I'll grab some.
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, and no we don't get Founders here. If there's some DC Brau that'd be good too, doubt you can still get On the Wings of Armageddon tho
Yeah, I think people would be interested in Founders Breakfast Stout or the Imperial Stout (if it's out now). I'll be travelling east soon, and those are things I'll be looking for (in addition to Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout).
