Bringing Kids to Beer Bars

It's funny if you look at the areas people live in on this thread.

If you live in Colorado or West bring your kids. If not, keep em at home!

Seriously though, There are establishments out here that openly welcome children. I take my daughter to many of these, they have games for kids and food and everything mentioned previously.

There are many that don't. I don't take her there/go there very often.

It's pretty simple really. But if I'm at a place that is open to this don't give me dirty looks for her being there. If I'm at a dive doing shots at 2 in the morning while she's screaming her head off because she can barely stay awake, call Civil Services.

There's a time and place for everything.

 

I am a strong advocate for not being negative, but that's totally uncalled for and untrue.

It's not even fair to expect others to filter their behavior because some zhiguli asshole showed up with a little one. If atmosphere is not right for the kid it's on the parent to leave

exactly. "Don't respect anyone that doesn't respect you" guess some people weren't raised right. they feel they need to be respected after being a dick to everyone else.

 

I'm glad to know my mom is not a good parent because she didn't sacrifice her entire life just to raise me.

Having to work to put food on the table isn't all that selfish.

 

exactly so why would you risk the kids getting hurt by a bunch of drunk adults. You do realize that if you do encourage kids to be over let's say late and they get hurt by another belligerent drunk with no money, the parents could go right around and sue you. Keep doing that I'm sure it will go over well. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch.

some don't take parenting serious enough. sounds like you don't. I'm not here to nanny you to tell you how to raise your kids. Just don't pretend you know what sacrifice or morals or character are.

 

Is craft beer the new designer drug? Just because we're okay with it and it consumes a good portion of our lives, does not mean children need to be introduced to it. Theyll get there soon enough on their own. No respectable parent should take their kids to a bar. Ever.
