Yeah it's on the list, they tend to do their german inspired brews well.

I don't think Schiehallion is going to be beaten with regards to availability, at least not in scotland - it's in most of the supermarkets and is widely available on tap

Yeah its a good one, I've had it before down in cornwall. Problem is tosco have removed it from their scottish stores which is a bit annoying

    Had three more tonight

Calledonian Three Hop Lager - bit dull and husky
Keith - Larger Keith - really rather crap, very odd taste to it
St Mungo - Had this loads before, fairly accomplised but not a contender in bottle form at least

I picked up a couple more cans to try - the new one from Stewart brewing and Adnams Dry Hopped . Also noticed that Waitrose have a few more for me to try but I decided not to buy any when i was in, maybe later this week

Had the Caledonian and thought it was ok.
Not had the Keith, but won't now.
Like you, had St. Mungo loads of times and actually really like it on draught.

Well that clears up why it tasted so odd/crap

ahhhh st mungo, love drinking that when im working up in Glasgow, I had their Oktoberfest last time I was at their pub as well, was decent, unfortunately we don't get it anywhere down here, they had it in waitrose for a while in bottles but seem to have got rid of it

For those who didn't see, my old workplace Brass Castle won gold medal at SIBA BeerX yesterday with their Helles Lager. Well worth trying if anybody hasn't. Plus its gluten free!

I've liked the few brass castle beers I've had so far so I'll keep an eye out for it

Two more tonight, Stewart Franz and Adnams Dry Hopped. The adnams is better but neither are contenders

    Curious Brew lager

Is a bit curious but not very interesting.

Getting pretty much done for easily available ones, ie supermarket ones. Got the camden hells and pils to try side by side, they were decent enough iirc

Probably should have just stopped at Fourpure Pils and Schiehallion

Andwell (Hampshire) Pilsner Hop was quite good. Hoppy so almost pale ale esque.

Having a Yorkshire Heart lager (Heartger).

A bit cloudy and has a bit of a 'medicinal' flavour like the smell of a dentists surgery.

    £2.53 for a 500ml bottle.

    The search continues.....

Had the two camden beers back to back tonight, the pils is much better. A good beer, probably in with the other top ones

Bottle of Inveralmond Sunburst and Alechemy Talisman. Sunburst is ok as always and the Talisman is very poor

Camden's India Hells is still one of my favourite easy drinkers.

I'd also throw Coniston Brewing's Thürstein Pilsner in to the mix. Only had it once, bottled; but found it to be very drinkable.

I'd also throw in Five Points Pils, it's newly available this summer currently draft only. 330 ml cans said to be available late summer/fall.

It's true to bavarian crisp maltiness with some nicely banalced dry hopping. Check untappd and the like to see where it's avail!

    Cheers!

    Caledonia three hop lager
Fairly nice, slight lime flavour but not good enough to win me over to lager
Never saw the attraction of Schiehallion
