broken glasses

Sorry to hear that. Luckily you can probably track another down without too much effort.

Zwanze Day 2011 you could purchase this glass at Monks with a pour of that year's Zwanze. We had a group of 4 and each of us purchased a glass. One of the glasses did not last an hour, it was dropped on the ground. The person who dropped it was quite upset about it, so I gave her my glass. That night she washed it, put it on top of her fridge and her cat knocked it to the ground. She killed 2 of those glasses in like 12 hours. I guess some people arnt meant to own Loonware? hah

 

I'm not going to say what I've never done.

 

the gf was cooking & broke my dogfish "off centered" shaped pint glass, i didn't sweat it. she felt bad & bought us a pair of lost abbey tekus to replace it, best gf evarrrr

 

I get the feeling they are equipped with a self destruct device that detonates after 36 hours, maximum

 

Bruery glass broke while hand washing in sink (due to temps), and a Lost Abbey teku which slipped from my hands and shattered in the same sink. Beyond that, a broken Duck Rabbit snifter in the mail.... weird as only the base of it broke. The bowl is perfectly intact.

 

My worst was my 2007 Founders 10th Anniversary Imperial Pint Glass, that sucked.

That sucks! I don't even use mine anymore for fear of breaking it.

When your beer buddy sends you a picture of a glass you left at his house....


He said that he bobbled it about 4 times, and then got a kick in, it came up and he missed the swipe for it. Guess I'm just happy I bought 2 of the three floyd's tekus when I did lol. I guess it's alright, he made up for it with this gem.

 

That was my bad bro

 

Would you believe people still bring these to use at tastings? They're nuts!

Oh... latest breakage was the 2013 Black Friday BCBS glass. Wife knocked it over 2 feet onto carpet at, apparently, just the right angle. Literally exploded into a million tiny shards.

 

Recently a box containing my newly acquired pair of Dogfish Head oversized snifters arrived at my front step. The box had gone mmissing from the USPS system for nearly two weeks. When I first laid eyes on the box my heart sunk. Had the box arrived undamaged the glasses would most certain been doomed. The box itself was barely big enough for the glasses without shipping material, now it sat in waiting at perched atop the landing outside my front dokrd, a mear fraction of its former size. The slightest jostle produced the tall tell sounds of smashed glass.

The quest has been renewed once more for the DFH oversized snifter.

 

3 x Three Floyd Pint glasses (#1 broke in transit, #2 step brother broke while drinking water!, #3 No ones stepping up to the plate)
1 x City Beer Store Tulip (Aunt dropped it while doing dishes)
1 x Hill Farmstead (Broke last night in my trunk)
