I'll fess up and say, other than Local 1, I'm not a fan of Brooklyn Brewery. Just had Brooklyn Blast last night and was impressed. It tasted like a cross between an west coast IPA and and east indian IPA. It worked. Lots of citrus without the metallic overtones of their EIIPA. There's a bar upstate that's carrying this on tap and from the feedback here recently to stay clear of Nugget Nectar on tap, I'm looking forward to this new offering. My only complaint is that it was $14.99 for a 4-pack here in NYC.

My spot in Bed-Stuy has it for $11.99.

I got for $9.99 in IN, but that won't help you

What's wrong with Nugget Nectar on tap?

I was wondering that myself. I've had it on tap many times this year and have bought growlers of it. Tasted fine to me.

Love Brooklyn Blast. Had it for the first time back in '11 and couldn't believe how great it was since I too am not the biggest Brooklyn fan. So pungent, so tasty. I assume the 4-packs being spoken of are 12 oz bottles but, if they somehow put them in 16 oz tallboy cans, I'd be all over that shit.

huh... In DC now and Whole Foods had it for $11.99. Not marked well for style. Might walk back there now. Thanks!

I'm not sure I understand what this description means.

$9.99 per 4pk here in Cbus. I've been passing it up, because, well, Brooklyn (sorry, guys). Should I go after some?

It incorporates both piney, resinous "west coast" flavors with some more gentle, tropical flavors from the "east coast" style. At least, this fits my take on the brew (its excellent) as well as my knowledge regarding how people subdivide IPAs.
