Has anyone else tried this one? I went to the NoMad tonight and tried it, and enjoyed it, but it seems like there's not a lot of info available about it. They call it a Brown Ale, but I came away thinking it was more like a dubbel or a dark BPA. I didn't notice an ABV listing, but I definitely either felt the effects of this beer, or I got drunk on chicken.

I take it no one has tried it yet. This is a beer Brooklyn brewed specifically for the new restaurant in The NoMad Hotel, to pair with the roast chicken they serve.

Ghostly, you're correct. It's almost more like a dubbel or dark strong ale. Went to brunch and ordered a half-growler of it for $16 and paired it with The NoMad's new chicken sandwich, which is also phenomenal.

From what I can remember the beer was a clear brown amber. It had a very rich yeasty/bready nose with some latter spicy alcohol notes. As far as taste, I had a pretty good malty sweetness, low bitterness and a good dark stone fruit type flavor. All in all a delicious beer.
