Haven't tried these yet. Curious to hear others' impressions. Which one did you like better? I'm intrigued by this pair, but haven't decided whether to pick them up. I respect BBC, but it's not a favorite brewery of mine.

Above average. Dusty shelf beers though. Better examples of the styles out there

Not to be a dick or anything, but here's some opinions here: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/45/35328 and here: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/45/47678. I usually sort the reviews by "Top Reviewers" and check out what they have to say.

It's been quite a while since I've personally had the Brooklyns, so I don't have much of an opinion to share. However, if you're looking for some Belgian strongs I would opt for these: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1534/6947 http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1534/42538. Both should be pretty readily available at good shops.

Clearly not .rar enough to warrant even drinking.

But seriously, two of my favorite Belgian-style ales at a great price point (usually $8.99 at the Brewery/WF). People knock Brooklyn because they're so readily available but Garrett knows what he's doing.

Tried both. Liked both but didn't prefer one over the other as I like both styles and thought both beers were fine. They are both good solid examples of their style (but I have found some I like a wee bit better). I've not really gone back to them often, but that is primarily because there are lots of other examples from those styles still to be sampled and the ABV is higher than I want in a "regular consumption" beer rather than a "special occasion" beer.

Agreeing with the above. Seems like you can get these beers practically anywhere in NYC at any time of the year. I loved 1 when I had it - but that was only once and a long time ago. Looking forward to opening up another one/1 soon and seeing if it pushes the right buttons again.

Loved loved loved their old Schneider Hopfen Weisse 750, which is no longer in production. Probably my favorite Brooklyn beer of all time.

So true. Without examining the bottle you don't know it's been sitting there 3 days or 3 years.

Because of your post I picked up Schneider's Tap 5 Hopfenweisse. Wow. What a hazy killer beer!

Easy to tell the date bottled via the code printed in black on the white rectangle pattern on the back of the bottle. First 3 digits are the day of bottling and the last is year. 3653 = Dec 31, 2013.
